That’s a wrap on an AMAZING season!!! This was the farms 5th season and it feels like such an incredible accomplishment completing 5 full seasons of flower farming here in Florida! Every season has somehow gotten better and better and this season was the best yet! 🥹🌸😍 Thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting local flowers and this very special place of nature, healing and connection 🥹💗🌿✨

Now that the field is under cover crop I’m off to Montana for a summer of rest, hiking, exploring the beauty of nature out West and dreaming of fall flowers 😍😍💐🌼 See you in the fall!!!!

Happy Mother’s Day!!! 5 years ago I was crying to my mom about getting not getting the flower farm jobs I was applying to and she said, “Why don’t you just start your own flower farm on my property in Myakka??” 🥹🌸 She always believed in me - before even I did!

Growing up my mom taught me the joys of being in nature - camping, horseback riding, being dirty in a mud pile in the backyard, playing in the kitchen garden and snacking on cherry tomatoes. All the things I cherish now - being in nature and connected to the world around me 💗✨

Thank you Birdy for your unconditional love, support, generosity, kindness, warmth and for allowing me to grow into the person I am today! 🌱🌸🌼💐🌳🌿

Come celebrate Mother’s Day with a picnic lunch on the flower farm! 😍💐🧺 Bring the whole family and BYO picnic - food, drinks and a blanket and sprawl out on the grass and enjoy a beautiful Sunday afternoon on the farm! We will have live typewriter poetry, U-Pick Flowers available for purchase on the farm, flower crown making and of course baby goat Buckwheat.

It’s lisianthus season! Oh I LOVE lissies! I always use plugs from for lissies because they take so long time to germinate and I can use all the extra greenhouse space. This season I planted plugs in mid/late November and have blooms now - early May! Lissies take a long time to grow over the winter but they are so worth it 😍🌸🌸

My favorite varieties are voyage pink, voyage champagne and voyage white because I love the frilly petals! What do you think of lisianthus?? Have you tried growing them here in Florida yet?

Beautiful Campanula!! Definitely a favorite of mine - it’s such a perfect little faerie flower and such a gorgeous pink!

This season I planted plugs of Pink Champion 2 Campanula from on 11/5 and they’re blooming now - late April. I started some from seed in November and they’re also blooming and beautiful - they’re just shorter. Next year I’ll definitely order plugs again - I’m thinking about growing lavender and white as well - what do you think?? Should I add more colors of Campanula next season?
