On the road with Romney's 2025. We did very well at both Alameda county fair and Ventura county fair with champion ram and champion ewe in the White Romney's and champion ram in the natural colored show. At the Ventura show we had champion and reserve champion ram and champion ewe in the natural colored division and reserve champion ram in the whites.

This year Ace in the hole Romneys won both the natural colored Romney class as well as first in the white Romney class at the Black Sheep Gathering, an exceptional start to the show season. After 30 years of selective breeding I am very proud of my Romney flock that is competitive nation wide.

We just returned from a trip to New Zealand where we served as delegates to the World Congress on Natural Colored Sheep and a week long tour of the South Island. What a beautiful country, beautiful sheep as well as some pretty good wine. We also attended the largest sheep show in New Zealand in Christchurch which ran at the same time as NAILE here and was quite interesting. It was a trip of a lifetime for sure.

Here they are just in time for Christmas! Our 100% wool blanket throws made from our own Romney sheep blended with a friends flock of natural colored Merino's. These beautiful soft warm comfortable throws were processed and woven by our local mill in Ukiah California "Mendocino Wool and Fiber" in the Northern California Fiber Shed. Sustainably grown and processed within 100 miles of our farm gate.
They are 45" by 60" in size, the perfect size for lounging on the couch on a cool evening or used for a baby blanket or over your couch for decoration.
Weaving patterns include white and grey rosettes with accent stripes and white and grey twill with accent stripes in a magical display of variations that showcase the expression of the individual character of the breeds used in their creation.
The "Ace in The Hole Ranch" is a family owned small vertically integrated sheep farm operated by my wife and I with help from our grandson and his family in a caring, loving sustainable manner.
