A little recap of the garden this season as we wrap up our 2nd year of the U-PICK garden.

While last year I navigated the season with multiple injuries, this year I did so while very pregnant. I apparently don't shy away from a good challenge.

If you visited the garden this year you might have noticed a few things were different among the flowers as I work towards transitioning the garden to more regenerative methods. Because frankly, the commercial way of growing flowers in plastic holes with plastic netting just didn't work for me. It felt time consuming, tedious and frustrating as I still spent a fair amount of time w**ding the garden.

I ditched a large amount of the plastic and opted for twine and good ol' mushroom mulch. While we still had to opt for plastic in the walkways because the w**d pressure is crazy out there. But I am mulling over other options for the future.

I hope you enjoyed the garden this year. I am already looking forward to next year!

September 26th is the last day for the cutting garden this season.

I can't believe we are already at the end of the season. We are closing on the 26th so we can have time to clean up the garden, plant some more perennials, prep beds for next season and put everything to bed.

That leaves just 2 more weeks to visit, use up season passes and enjoy the cut flower garden.

Grab your gifts for the upcoming holiday season from the shop while you can!

Walk with the new babe through the flower garden. Still so much blooming. The garden is magical this time of year. It's full of peaceful noise and life. Bees, butterflies, moths and grasshoppers have made the garden their own city.

Just a few more weeks to enjoy this.

The cut flower garden is still open for U-PICK daily 8AM-8PM and full of celosia, strawflowers, zinnias and dahlias.

They won't last too much longer as temperatures begin to drop, so you'll want to stop out and enjoy it while it lasts!

Bouquets in the shop this week - transitioning into fall flowers.

Just a reminder that this coming Tuesday is the last day for our summer bouquet subscription pickup and possibly the last week for market bouquets to be stocked daily in the shop as we await our new babe to join us.

The U-PICK garden will remain open as long as the flowers are blooming.
