Andersons lil Acre I'm just a girl who loves her birds! I have a backyard flock of chicken and duck. I offer eating eggs, hatching eggs, and chicks.

All are raised with love, as a pet flock, and are selectively bred for hardy dual purpose offspring.

We have learned the hard way, that when you raise turkey poults in the house, they grow up thinking they can come in and out as they please🤣 we've got to come up with a better solution...

This evening we were out in the side yard with the baby turkey, letting them play and chase bugs. The ducks came out to join. Turkey chases duck, ducks think they're about to be murdered, and run towards the back. I was down the hill past the blackberries, and I head up the hill to turn the ducks around. When I topped the hill, there a few feet to my right, was a grey fox, laying in the yard watching us.. oh crap! Mad dash to scoop up the babies, and get the ducks back into our chain link fence portion of the yard. We successfully got all the birds, including baby chickens into their shed before the fox came back, but who knows how long he was laying there watching us!
