Since our community has been growing so fast with the new homestead build, I wanted to pull back the curtain and introduce myself properly. Welcome to day one of gardening hacks, where I teach you the ultimate tips, tricks, and ins and outs of growing your own food!
The technique in this video is called seed soaking. Different seeds need to be soaked for different amounts of time, and some donā€™t need it at all.
Sunflower seeds - 8 to 12 hours
Cilantro seed - 18 to 24 hours
Asparagus - 24 to 48 hours.
Taking this one simple step can wake up your seeds, break down hard hulls, and literally save you weeks of seed sprouting time.
