Double C Farms We are in the beginning phases of starting an elite Angus Cow-calf operation. They will be going in some receipt cows this fall.

We have purchased heifer, sexed embryos out of Donna 505 at the Montana Ranch and the outstanding young Judgement bull.

First calf born here at Double C Farms since the farm location change. Number 2 (Daisy) had a beautiful black heifer. Adeline has named the new calf, which will be number 5 (Laney Wilson). Our first purebred embryos should be due in September.

Update on cattle at Double C Farms. Well the cows we purchased back in August were supposed to be open, but turns out two of them were bred. Number 4 slipped her calf during set up to put in embryos back in December. As we were putting in embryos, we found out number 2 was 5 months bred. So, we are looking forward to a new calf in March or April. We started set up yesterday for numbers 3 and 4. Hopefully we can put in our remaining two embryos in on February 10th. I pregnancy checked number 1 Friday. She was the only one that set up back in December. I got a 2nd line but it was faint. It was also below the temperature for the pregnancy test to work, so I am hoping that is why the line was faint. The Donna 505 cow that our embryos are out of, sold just the other day for 50,000. Stay tuned for the next steps in our farming adventures.
