Duhig Wine

Harvest Duhig here. I wanted to share with you the exciting journey we embarked on a few years ago.

In 2013 John and I started the adventure of tending our 3 distinctly different soil types at our home ranch here in Coombsville, which sits just east of the town of Napa. The intrigue and promise of what we felt our gently sloping land offered, persuaded us to plant Cabernet Sauvignon. After spending the last 17 years as a growner and winemaker for Caymus Vineyards under Chuck Wagner’s tutelage, I knew this was a special spot.

Although our farming story started within the last 10 years, John’s ancestors, Isaac and Isabelle Duhig settled in 1853 on 400 acres in Napa Valley as ranchers and farmers before Napa was even granted its township. John and I can think of no better way to honor his family’s legacy than to continue it alongside our children, who are 6th generation Napans, on our own 13-acre ranch.
