Harvest 2024 update:
I just walked the vineyard and gathered samples of the Cab and of the blenders. Both are coming along well - the blenders are ahead of the Cab by about 2 Brix but they are close enough at this point. Cab is 21.8 and the blenders are 23.9. It’s looking like 2-3 more weeks until we harvest.

Harvest 2023 is coming soon! This weekend we will be harvesting and processing the fruit from this young vineyard! Who wants purple hands? We will advise when it’s decided - Saturday or Sunday! It will be a morning adventure (before the birds help us too much!). Stay tuned! Oh, and an interesting twist:we may or may not have 4 Sauv Blanc plants in the mix!

As the weather warms, the sleeping vineyard begins to awaken. Petite Verdot and Cab Franc have buds pushing, but the Cab Sauv is holding out for more heat. Oh, and the red stemmed vine will be removed soon. That is root stock that hid in the weeds until it blossomed. Pretty sneaky…
