Hi All, and a Happy Belated New Year! As we roll along we are now in citrus season out here and that means marmalades are ahead. As you can see, we picked the first basket of our Meyer Lemons and we will start peeling and cutting them up in the next few days.

Hey All....Happy Sunday. A good friend sent this to me the other day and I figured we can all use a "tasty" mood boost about this time!

Day 2 of harvest and it is really mesmerizing to see the oil roll off the mill and into our waiting barrels. Oil today had even a bit more bite to it then yesterday as we are in a different area in the grove and we picked mostly the variety Leccino. We will see what tomorrow brings as we will be back out again as we try to get as much in before the rains that are coming Monday. Have a nice weekend everyone! The first day of the new olive harvest is done and although it was a long day with some small hitches along the way, coming home with new oil less then 1 hour off the press and pouring some in a dish to dive into with some fresh bread makes it all worthwhile. Nice aromas and flavors of fresh artichoke, warm spices and plenty of pepperiness…yum!

Hey All....we start our annual olive harvest tomorrow so not much time as we scurry to get ready. It is going to be a small harvest again as we were impacted by the same climate change issues that hit us last year.

But that does not dampen our enthusiasm and excitement for this annual event and I can't wait to taste the first drops of this year's oil as it flows off the press tomorrow afternoon. Will report back more soon.

In the meantime, Kim and I watched this absolutely amazing and engaging (and educational) film last night, shot by a wildlife photographer while he was locked down during the virus.

Finding and identifying all the bee species that inhabited filmmaker Martin Dohrn's urban garden in England, was fascinating and surprising. But what he is able to catch these amazing bees doing with his video camera is nearly beyond words! And, the hour you will spend watching it will take you to a whole new level of appreciation for these wondrous insects and give you a momentary respite from the world around us. Enjoy! Best, Albert
