This week's Hot Buys bring together some of the best of the season — sweet Dole tropical pineapples, colorful mixed cherry tomatoes, Blue Lake green beans, beautiful heirloom tomatoes, tender baby mixed lettuces, summer peaches and sweet white corn.

Some products come and go quickly this time of year, and that's half the fun of walking the market — you never quite know what you're going to find.

Next week's Hot Buys are loaded with some of the best flavors of August ~ sweet cantaloupe, colorful cherry tomatoes, Blue Lake green beans, vine-ripe tomatoes, summer peaches and sweet white corn.

And because apparently August likes to keep us guessing… Brussels sprouts made the party too.

This week the market was bursting with summer.

🌿 Heirloom artichokes
🍅 Heirloom tomatoes
🍑 Peaches & nectarines
🍈 Sweet sugar melons
🥭 Tree-ripened mangoes
🐉 Pink & yellow dragon fruit
🟢 Fresh guava

Some weeks are routine.

This wasn't one of them.

These are the mornings that remind me why I still love walking the market after all these years. Every aisle holds something that inspires a menu, starts a conversation with a chef, or brings a smile to a customer who's been waiting for that first perfect piece of summer fruit.

Three generations later, I'm still just a market guy chasing great produce for great people.
