Quixote Winery in Napa Valley has been called “whimsical” and “eccentric.” To those who have experienced Quixote’s architecture and breathtaking surroundings in the golden hillsides of the Stags Leap District appellation, the 42-acre wine-producing property is a world all its own. Designed by the world-famous, free-spirited Austrian artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser, the winery is the only Hunder

twasser building in the United States. The property is home to 29 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Syrah, Malbec, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc. The 100% estate wines come from our vineyard that is farmed organically by famed Napa vineyard manager Michael Wolf. The fruit is then handed over to consulting winemaker Aaron Pott, who strives to create the most balanced wines to be enjoyed now or over the next 15+ years. The estate beckons the wine collector…but a collector with a sense of humor and a free mind who isn’t afraid to trade straight lines and traditional ways of thinking for curved floors and complete immersion with nature. Today, visitors are welcomed by a tree-lined drive and enveloping branches of old oaks, a walkway through wild grasses and finally the iconic onion-shaped gold dome stretching into the sky. The property was originally a part of the historic Stags’ Leap Winery and borders the vineyards that produce Shafer’s highly acclaimed Hillside Select Cabernet Sauvignon. This is a rare opportunity to secure Quixote's 2024 auction wine before it's released to the public. Whether you're attending Auction Napa Valley or following from afar, you can participate from anywhere in the world through Sotheby's online auction.

The top 10 bidders will each receive one case from Quixote's exclusive Napa Valley Barrel Auction lot. In addition, the top bidder will receive a commemorative barrel head signed by our winemaking team and an invitation to an exclusive kickoff lunch with participating winemakers during next year's Auction Napa Valley week.

2021 understood the assignment. 🍷✨

Our 2021 wines are showing off in all the right ways — layered, vibrant, beautifully balanced, and honestly… kind of hard to stop talking about.

We recently had a very special guest stop by Quixote 🐾🍷

Raven, our four-legged friend, visited us as part of the Napa Humane Pawsport promotion—and quickly became everyone’s favorite. From relaxing in the tasting room to charming our team (and guests), Raven showed us just how perfect a winery day can be with a furry companion by your side.

We’ve truly enjoyed welcoming all of our four-legged friends over the past couple of months—it’s been such a joy to be part of this special promotion.

There’s a certain kind of quiet that settles over the winery in the late afternoon—the kind that only happens when the sun starts to soften and everything it touches turns a little more golden.

Vines stretch out in long, even rows, catching the light in a way that makes the whole valley feel still for a moment. Glasses clink a little slower, conversations linger a little longer, and the day seems to pause just enough for you to notice it.

This is the Quixote we get to work in—shaped by sun, time, and a landscape that never rushes what it becomes.
