Who knew back when, with just one acre of land
That a new future and career would soon be at hand?
With acquiring a weekender in Oak Knoll
That Chardonnay would be planted and we’d be on a roll
To joining the ranks of vintners in Napa
In a bucolic fashion worthy of Capra.
Soon that little vineyard of Chard was part of a highly scored blend
And a spark was ignited for us to expand
To 16 acres of vines, with fruit for a number of brands
All grown, tended and picked by human hands.
A bit later we decided to craft some wine of our own
From this fruit that we had so carefully grown.
In 07, we began Lobo with our very own Pinot Noir
Which soon was enjoyed both locally and afar
Then came Chard and of course, Cabernet
Within a few shorts years, we were well on our way
To offering 8 different wines
Coming from both properties’ hand-tended vines
If your eyes on are on this, you journeyed with us
In pursuit of excellent wines, worth all of the fuss
Helmed by Victoria, winemaker supreme
Who helped us further this grape driven dream.
After 18 years and 15 vintages in glass
It’s amazing how much time had since passed.
With retirement having turned into another endeavor
We assessed we couldn’t do it forever.
So in this, our last year, we are entirely pleased
That years ago this opportunity was seized.
We’re proud our work brought you enjoyment
But it’s time to finally exit employment.
We thank you for your support these years
And now it’s time for us to change gears
To relax and travel the world for a while
Knowing our little project reached your lips and made you smile.
Cheers and again, thank you! From our small team, we wish you an amazing and delicious 2025. Randy, Krys, Victoria and Chris
