In 2003, we installed the largest solar system of any winery in the world at that time.

Today, our solar microgrid and battery supplies up to 70% of our power, keeping us self-sufficient during outages, and generating enough clean energy to power 50 homes a year.

On our best days, we power the winery, charge our battery, fuel our EV chargers, AND send extra energy back to the grid.

Last night, as the moon slipped into shadow, we reached for our own celestial pairing 🌗✨

Legend says Dom Pérignon exclaimed, "Come quickly! I am tasting stars!" after his first taste of sparkling wine — and under an eclipse, it felt only right to toast with both sides of the sky.

We love both of these limited-release cuvées: the fresh, lively gold-label 2021 Blanc de Blancs, glowing with white flowers, pear, and brioche — our sunlit moon — and the round, creamy black-label Blanc de Noir, deep with apple blossom, Rainier cherry, and toasted almond — our shadowed one.

Last month, before the harvest began, our team paused to gather for our annual Employee Harvest Party, a tradition that marks the start of another year in the vineyard, and a moment to reflect on where we've come from.

This year, that reflection centered on Eileen Crane, our Founding Winemaker, whose life and legacy shaped Domaine Carneros into what it is today. Chief of Sales & Marketing Erin Stauffer, Winemaker Zak Miller, and CEO Remi Cohen shared stories and memories of Eileen, honoring the woman whose intuition and dedication built the foundation we still stand on. And we shared a toast!

Eileen once said: "Making great wine is about passion. There is no formula. You have to be attuned to the rhythm of the grapes, the pulse of the wine." This year we are bringing our most passionate selves to our work in her honor.

We're celebrating the way we know best, with a glass of our still Pinot Noir in one hand and some sparkling in the other.
