There are some food and wine pairings that just work- and pinot noir with mushrooms is one of them. With a bite and a sip, we can practically smell the rich soil and feel the cool fog of the Sonoma coast. Cab may be king in Napa, but Pinot is the prince of Sonoma.

Okaeri was born from a dream of providing the best of Napa Valley food, wine, and hospitality under one roof. Each evening for social hour, we open up one of our wines and Chef Josh Garcia cooks up a delicious pairing. It’s become one of our favorite daily rituals- hearing our guests’ stories, exchanging restaurant and tasting room recs, and hearing Okaeri full of the sound of laughter and conversation.

Sunday, March 22 at Okaeri, we’re sharing our 2025 Hi No Tori rosé for the first time. Chef Josh Garcia will present a seasonal multi‑course menu crafted to celebrate and uplift Napa Valley’s unique terroir.

Another vintage of Hi No Tori retires to the library. We surprised even ourselves with the 2020- a year infamous for- among other things- smoke and fire throughout Napa Valley. Just as weather and geography come together to create ideal conditions to nurture vines, just the right combination of peaks and valleys, wind and sun, left our vineyard sheltered from smoke. We savored each glass of this wine a little more knowing how lucky we were, a feeling we’ll carry forward on the increasingly special occasion when we pull another bottle from the library.
