The crisp air smells like grape juice! Our 2025 harvest finished just before dawn, and grapes have been delivered to the crush pad. The fruit is gorgeous this year! We’ll have that beautiful juice in the tanks later this morning. 🍇

I know I said we weren’t going to make a 2025 , but then THIS happened. Amazing fruit picked early this morning. Already giving butterscotch, apple pie, cinnamon…and the juice JUST went into the French oak barrels.

In 1991, I visited Napa Valley with a group of chefs and hotel GM’s for a life-changing week of learning from the visionary chef John Ash about this “new” way of cooking - with fresh, seasonal, local ingredients - and pairing wine with food.🍷Thank you, chef. Here’s to you.

Ash, founder of John Ash & Co., opened his eponymous restaurant in 1980 in Santa Rosa. It quickly became an acclaimed destination for special nights out.

Veraison is fully dazzling this year, as our Cabernet Sauvignon grapes turn from green to purple. Chlorophyll is breaking down, sugars are increasing, and the vineyard is transitioning from growth mode to ripening mode. Loving these cool mornings and sunny afternoons! 🍇
