There’s Chardonnay… and then there are the bottles that change history. When our Chardonnay was named “Best in the World” at the Wine Olympics in 1986, it became a defining moment not just for Trefethen, but for Napa Valley Chardonnay as a whole.

Decades later, that same commitment to crafting balanced, expressive wines remains at the heart of everything we do. Every vintage is a reflection of our estate, our history, and the belief that great Chardonnay should be both elegant and unforgettable.

It's like a sunset you'd never want to leave, with aromas of fresh strawberry and white peach giving way to a palate that's both crisp and satisfying.
