Easy Peasy Peach Cobbler - Don't Lose This Recipe!
**Ingredients:**
* 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
* 1 cup all-purpose flour
* 1 cup granulated sugar
* 2 teaspoons baking powder
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 1 cup milk (whole or 2%)
* 2 cans (15 oz each) sliced peaches in light syrup, *undrained* (or 1 large 29 oz can)
* Optional: 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon or nutmeg
**Directions:**
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Place the 1/2 cup butter into a 9x13 inch baking dish. Put the dish into the preheating oven and let the butter melt completely (about 5-7 minutes).
3. While the butter melts, in a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
4. Gradually pour the milk into the dry ingredients, stirring just until combined and smooth. Do not overmix.
5. Carefully remove the hot dish with the melted butter from the oven. Pour the batter evenly over the melted butter. **Do not stir.**
6. Evenly spoon the undrained canned peaches over the batter. **Do not stir.** (If using, sprinkle cinnamon or nutmeg over the peaches now.)
7. Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
8. Let cool slightly before serving.
