🌽🌶️🥒There is a season for everything. (Longer post but easy read…)
🛒You’d think by stepping into a grocery store that all produce grows year-round everywhere. You can get just about anything at anytime. Produce definitely has seasons, and grocery stores ship food from all over the world. It’s easy to get disconnected from where and how your food is grown.
We are gearing up for our upcoming produce season, but it’s not ready yet. Nature will let us know. We will reopen our farmstands at that time, probably mid-July.
🍎🌳Our Naperville Farmstand and Oswego Farmstand get many phone calls in spring and early summer asking if apple picking is currently available. Two reasons why the answer is no:
1. Naperville Farmstand doesn’t have an apple orchard, only our Oswego Farmstand does. Even though customers plead on the phone that Naperville is much closer to them, it is hard to grant access to an orchard that isn’t there. We will sell prepicked apples at our Naperville location though.
2. In the Midwest, apples are still growing at this point in the year. They are not big enough to pick. (See photo) We will reopen our Oswego apple orchard in mid- to late-August when the apples are ready. We have some incredibly delicious early varieties that will knock your socks off.
Until then, here are ways to get the latest info on what’s available:
🌽🍎➡️Sign up for our Sweet Corn Alert and Apple Alert texts AND our e-newsletter right from our website homepage - www.KellersFarmstand.com

Thanks, Nik, for another awesome photo!
