Bavarian b**r is all the rage this time of year as the Oktoberfest celebrations fill the calendar & märzens fill the steins. What you’re not likely to find amidst all the annual South German adoration is a Urweisse brewed anywhere outside of Germany… until now.

Swanstone is old-world wheat with a dangerous, caramel glint in its eye. Rich & graceful, eccentric & just a little unhinged, Swanstone is inspired by the Neuschwanstein which rests like that regal bird high atop a mountain with a commanding presence over the forests & lakes of the Bavarian countryside.

Available Friday at both taprooms in pints & steins on draft & in portable aluminum towers to take away.

Ten years is a long time to spend making and pouring b**r in the same place.

Danny Boccassini has spent the last decade helping shape what Solemn Oath is, and when it came time to mark that milestone, a normal anniversary b**r never really felt like enough.

Danny had an idea. It took us somewhere stranger.

He has long been drawn to the old brewing traditions of Scandinavia and has an equal fondness for Panopticon, the black metal/folk project of Austin Lunn from Hammerheart Brewing. So for his ten-year b**r, Danny brought those worlds together and built something around a process that asks a brewer to get their hands dirty in a completely different way.

He hewed a spruce log into a kuurna. Packed it with juniper. Filtered wort through it. Steeped crushed berries into the b**r. Screamed at the yeast to scare away evil spirits.

A decade at SOB, commemorated with a b**r that could only really belong to Danny, and could only really make sense to brew with Austin Lunn.

Nidhogg is his ten-year b**r.

Arriving Saturday, October 17th at Viking Harvest Festival.

A mad take on Bavarian obscurity, Swanstone is a Bernsteinfarbenes weizen perilously propelled by the madness of kings & dreamers. Copper-hued & gleaming like dark sunset bleeding through stained glass, with toasted bread & caramel malts giving way to weizen’s familiar perfumes. Soft bubbles. Long pours. Old-world character not shackled by the past.

Named for the towering, swan-white monument towering over the forests & lakes of the South German highlands, Swanstone emodies the Mad King’s Neuschwanstein vision. A romantic reconstruction with teeth, raised on foundations strong enough to survive the dreamer who ordered it.

Traditional in spirit, extravagant in ex*****on, & just eccentric enough to be dangerous, Swanstone commands you pour it long, raise it high, & drink to the madness.

Green Bay Tears™ watch party kicks off one week from today! 🐻⬇️

The official Green Bay Tears party goes down at 2919 W Armitage Ave with tavern pies created with Green Bay Tears by Billy Z, draft & pitcher specials, collectible stadium cups, Italian beef sandos from Umamicue, orange b**r (!!!), Relish Brand merch popup in the shop, & hard-nose Chicago football on the screens.

We will also be showing the game in Naperville with draft & pitcher specials, stadium cups, & orange b**r on tap. Food is BYOF in Naperville so plan accordingly & bring a spread for your taproom tailgate.

Doors open at 11AM. All seating, food, & merch available first come, first served.
