Looking for a cute summer cupcake or Father's Day dessert? Make picnic cupcakes complete with fondant blanket and sprinkle ants! 🧺🥪🐜
Here's how Caked By Rach whipped up these adorable treats for us:
🐜Roll out a piece of white fondant and add red fondant strips on top to create the checkered look; place a sheet of parchment paper over the top and carefully roll over again with a rolling pin, then use a square cookie cutter to cut out the small blankets
🐜Use Wilton's Green Gel Food Coloring to tint your favorite buttercream and pipe grass all over the top of the cupcakes with tip 233 and lay the blanket on one side of the grass
🐜Cut out tiny pieces of cake to make the small sandwiches; decorate using piping tip 125 with pink tinted buttercream for the ham and mix yellow and pink to make a cheese color; use tip 70 and more green buttercream for the lettuce then add another piece of cake on top
🐜Make the ants by piping 3 small legs using black Candy Melts and sit two round sprinkle balls on top and let them set then place onto the cupcakes
