Afternoon!
This is just a reminder that the Farm Store is open for online order and pick-up at the Farm on 5/30.

Also, Inyoni will not be at Vanderbilt or Downtown Naples Farmers Market this Saturday. However, Nick will be at Grumpy Goat Coffee from 9-12pm with produce.

This is the last of the scheduled Pick-Ups and Markets for the Season.

However, after June 15th Nick will try to do various pop-ups and online store options depending on what is available. Stay tuned for updates later in June.

As the last part of our series of posts, the farm was hydrated with a gentle rain while we all cleaned up.

This led to an impromptu music session under the tents!

Not only did Katrina Lilly provide amazing music and wonderful ambiance, she also entertained all of us while we tried to stay dry.

Thank you to all that have supported the end of season party at the farm. Our goal was to improve the soil that nourishes all of us from season to season.

This is a picture that represents about 18yrds of compost and the farms goal is to be able to incorporate about 7-9 piles of this size into the fields each season.

While the water savings and nutrient benefits are enormous, Farmer Nick can go into more detail on how the mulch supports the variety of crops throughout the growing season and is more than happy to answer an questions.

It was a great end of season event at the farm and to share all of the love and support there will be a couple of posts.

First and foremost, thanks to Skinny Dips Farm to Table Catering and Chef Jameson!

The feedback from everyone was amazing, the fresh salsa and chips was a perfect start and was followed by freshly caught fish tacos and fantastic sides.

The pictures of the menu and plating should give you an idea of how great the meal was!

A special thanks to Chloe for sharing these amazing photos and fun tidbits about of Mulberries, Kousa and Bok Choy from the Farm.

Mulberries are a sweet and delicious source of vitamin C and iron. These gorgeous trees have heart shaped leaves and produce a lot of fruit. The trick is picking the berries before the birds get them! Mulberry fact: silk worms feed exclusively on mulberry leaves producing one of the softest and softest and most luxurious fibers, mulberry silk.

Kousa are a gorgeous light green summer squash with a sweet nutty flavor. They are a staple in Middle Eastern cooking, traditionally stuffed with a mixture of meat, rice and spices then simmered in a light tomato sauce. These plants are very generous making them a great choice for home gardeners.

Bok choy is a crisp and savory vegetable that can be enjoyed at all stages of growth. Harvested small as baby bok choy it is easy to slice lengthwise and sauté in garlic and soy sauce. When it gets larger it's ideal for chopping and adding to a stir fry or soup. The green tops can also be enjoyed raw in a salad.

We hope to see you Grumpy Goat Coffee or Marco Island Farmers Market this Wednesday

While this isn't a picture from the Farm, we felt Farmer Nick did a great job of capturing nature while he was relaxing a few evenings ago and we wanted to share it with you.

Now onto farm related things...we are getting ready to begin offering home delivery of your favorite produce.

The initial delivery area will span from Estero south to Marco Island. Before we get things started, we would really appreciate your opinions on the following:

How likely are you to sign up for this service?
What is your preferred delivery frequency (i.e. Weekly, Bi-Weekly, Monthly, etc)?
Any other thoughts or comments?

Please email us directly at [email protected] with your responses so we can best track sign-ups and feedback.

As an added incentive, we will be offering the first 20 customers a $6 credit on their first order.

We look forward to hearing from you!
