If you have not seen it or used it, we would like to introduce you to the FamEd icehouse. It is located at 1414 N Scott Street (across from Snyder Auto). The FamEd icehouse is a failry new, locally and family-owned self-service kiosk that offers fresh ice and filtered water and is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. As long-time Napoleon residents we are thrilled to bring this service to Napoleon, OH and its residents and businesses. It may be helpful to know that in the production of our ice, there is a 3 stage filtering system in place before the water reaches the ice maker. It is filtered for sediments, including Algae, then chemicals, such as chlorine, and finally minerals, like calcium and iron. The ice is then stored fresh until you purchase it. The machine bags it as it is dispensing it to you. No hands have ever touched the ice or the bag until it is yours. When you purchase water it is filtered in the same manner plus it is filtered by UV light just before dispensing to sterilize it. YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN CONTAINER FOR WATER.
