A dog among legends. You were the first to make me a mom and I truly feel I was made for that role. You gave so much to me through how you went through life fearless and mischievous. For 14.7 years of my life and 102.9 years of yours we have been together. Not just a piece of me is missing but an entire identity I have grown to know. Athena your love of adventure and excitement and tennis balls is unparalleled. Now you won’t have to jump out of the car window to chase deer in the National Park. I will miss my menace. I will miss the pull ups in the morning from the morning monster. I will miss having to duct tape my fridge so you don’t eat my leftovers. I will miss you scratching at the tent of the campground bc it’s time for you to go in the big bed. I will miss you never letting me have a rest at the beach bc you want me to chuck a ball into the ocean. I will miss you jumping off the dock into the river and chasing my car down the road. I will miss riding bikes in Florida and meeting turtles. What I’m trying to say is…I will miss you. I love you so much. Until we meet again 🤍🎾🪽
