Yesterday, November 21, I picked the last peppers of the season (I think. There are still about 50 pounds of green peppers on the plants). Most of them weren’t fully ripe, but they were trying. I made a ton of mistakes (aka learned a lot of lessons) this year, and I’m super excited to improve the pepper patch next year.

After several weeks of 90+ degree weather with zero rain, my and are shrinking! I wonder if they will be hotter than usual.

My son took a picture of me while I was trying to get to a ripe . Some of these plants are close to 6 feet tall!

One lesson I have learned this season is to space the plants out a lot more.

This morning our sauces topped our sausage and scrambled eggs. The birds are singing. The kids are happy. We’re in heaven on earth!

4 weeks and 3 days. I don’t know why I think that they should be so much bigger than they are, but they are beautiful nonetheless!

I’m growing Carolina Reaper, Moruga Scorpion, Ghost Pepper, Orange Hananero, and Cayenne. There are 54 plants total.

2024 goals: grow as many peppers for my sauces as I can!

I tried this once before (sort of) and totally failed, I am hoping that this year will be a success!
