WE’RE A WINNER BABY!

At this year’s Terrativo Barrel Aged Bitter won Double Gold 🥇🥇 and scored 97 points. It’s now one of 3 finalists for Best Aperitivo/Aperitif!

You hope for a good example when you submit to a competition like this, judged by the world’s top professionals, but I don’t think we could have dreamed of this. Terrativo wasn’t our first idea after starting Liba, nor was this iteration the first we made. It took hundreds of samples and even more time to get our aperitivo to this point, driven by a mad obsession to make it as good as it could possibly be. Happy to know the good folks at feel the same!

Also have to say thanks to the haters—some people were brutal, told us the idea was stupid, didn’t understand why we would possibly distill our own base spirit and take the time to age it to boot. Well, now we have pretty definitive proof that we were onto something with Terrativo 🤩 cheers to that!

Paper Plane
1 oz Terrativo
3/4 oz bourbon
3/4 oz fresh lemon juice
1/2 oz amaro nonino

Shake shake shake 🥶 until well chilled & double strain into a coup.

Terrativo didn’t come from data analysis or trying to read the tea leaves for the next big thing—it’s the result of over a decade of professional curiosity. We wondered what would happen if you treated this one step very differently. What would happen if you distilled your base spirit with craft and care rather than using a neutral base? Would the aperitif you have at the end be more nuanced? (Probably shouldn’t surprise anyone that when we do pizza at home we make the dough too)
