We are a small batch spaghetti sauce business, created to share the beloved sauce from our family's James Beard Award winning restaurant, Jim's Steak & Spaghetti House.

Owner/baker Hunter Briley has honed his skills and people first mentality to make this spot a truly unique experience. Opened in 2024 after Hunter had baked out of his home with increasing demand, The Émeraude Bakery puts sourdough above all, and brings more personality, warmth, and attention to detail than your typical bakery.

With rotating weekly drops and a collaborative passion, Hunter and Wendy Briley have tapped into the communities needs and ran with it. Our very own Jamina worked with Hunter back in the day at Hard Rock Cafe, and the home grown vibe has stuck around! So, Jim’s finding its way into the freezer was rather fitting.

Handmade. Craft-focused. Small batch. Local. All you could ask for. Pop by to see what’s available and grab some sauce while you’re at it!

We’re inching closer to cooler weather every day, and that means sauce season is upon us (it’s always sauce season if you ask us).

We just wanted to remind everyone that when eating Jim’s, however and wherever you do, it belongs in your mouth. This bowl was gifted to a friend of ours, and she forgot the assignment. Don’t cause a spaghetti sauce fiasco.

To be fair, she still devoured it.

Jim Tweel was born on this day in 1915 in Huntington, WV. He never moved away from his hometown, and he spent his entire life there dedicated to serving others. At 23, he borrowed $1500 and purchased Kennedy Dairy Bar… and then preceded to build it into a James Beard Award winning diner, aptly named Jim’s Steak & Spaghetti House. He had a genuine knack of making guests feel at home, like family, and that gift endeared thousands upon thousands of customers to Jim’s. He spent over 60 years at the helm of Jim’s, and then handed the job over to his daughter (our mom), Jimmie.
For decades, family members would often say like it was a mandate, “Someone oughta do something with the sauce!”… obviously referring to the star of Jim’s menu, the classic Italian meat sauce. It was the dish that people were admittedly “addicted” to that kept them coming back again and again. So, in hopes to expand the legacy of Jim’s, and to be of continued service to thousands of more customers (in their own homes), we launched Jim’s Spaghetti Sauce.
He is our North Star, our blueprint for humbled success, and today, especially, we honor him and we thank him for just being Jim.

NEW RETAILER ALERT !!!

Murfreesboro just got a lot saucier with Jim’s hitting the freezer section at Tag’z Premier Meat Shop Tag’z Premier Meat Shop . They’ve got an enormous array of meats, but ONLY ONE Classic Italian meat sauce…
So, go stock up on all your faves, maybe even try something new, and then do it again next week.
Tag’z is open seven days a week, so you need never go without… Jim’s.

There is likely no Jim’s without Sally. You see, it was her “suggestion” in 1938, that if Jim wished to marry her, he better get a Job. So, he bought Kennedy Dairy Bar and then went on over the next seven or so decades to build a James Beard Award winning diner. Sally was a force of Nature, a loving, generous spark of Light and Spirit!
Her birthday was yesterday, and so we’ve been thinking about her and missing her a lot. One of her “sayings” was, “There’s nothing to it if you just get up and do it!”… and, when she sat in a chair, it was usually one cheek on and one cheek off, always ready to “just get up and do it.”
So, in the Spirit of Sally, we encourage you to do the same…

Thanks so much for helping us expand the legacy of Jim’s (and Sally) !
