Bish be royalty, full recipe below
INGREDIENTS
- 1 English cucumber
- 1 loaf of brioche
- 1 block cream cheese, softened/room temp
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp chopped dill
- 2 tbsp chopped chives
PREPARATION
- In a mixing bowl, combined cream cheese and your aromatics (salt, pepper, garlic powder, dill, chives).
- Take your English cucumber and chop off the ends. Using a peel, run it down the skin of the cucumber lengthwise to make a strip. Rotate the cucumber about a quarter of the way and peel again. You should have alternating skin/peeled strips. Use the video for reference.
- Chop most of the cucumber, leaving about a fourth, into ¼ inch thick slices.
- Remove the crust from your brioche. Smear two slices with the cream cheese filling. Add cucumbers (try and have two rows of 3 slices but it’s fine).
- Place the slice with no cucumbers over the slice with the cucumbers and using a chef’s knife, slice down the middle lengthwise.
- Your sandwich is done, but you can optionally garnish by making razor thin slices of cucumber and then making an incision to the middle. Twist the slice and insert a toothpick so it holds its shape, and then insert the skewered cucumber into the middle of a sandwich finger.
