Let us not forget.
Every name on this memorial represents a life—a life taken through violence and far too soon. May their families continue to feel our love, compassion, and support. And may we also remember those who survived that horrific day and continue to live with the memories and scars of what they endured.
May we remember, too, how we came together in the face of unimaginable tragedy—and find that spirit within ourselves again.
We have allowed political rhetoric, anger, and division to pull us apart for far too long. Let us rise above the noise rather than add to it. Let us listen more, judge less, and resolve to be better and do better—because change begins with each of us.
Today, let us honor those whose lives were taken not only by remembering their names, but by choosing unity over division, compassion over anger, and hope over hate.
May we come together for a better America.
Their lives, their families, and their memories deserve that from us.
We will never forget.
