What. A. Week. 😅🐐🎡🩰

This week was an absolute marathon, but one of those weeks that reminds me just how much these kids can pack into seven days!

🩰 Saturday started with Nutcracker auditions for Arlee, and we are so excited that she will be a Snowflake this year! ❄️

🎡 Monday we moved animals into the Howard County Fair, and the kids participated in the 4-H float in the county fair parade.

🐐 Tuesday morning was the Dairy Goat Show, and both kids had a GREAT day!

Arlee brought home:
🏆 Junior Dairy Goat Showmanship Champion
🏆 Supreme Dairy Doe with Molly
🏆 Grand Champion Sr. Dairy Doe with Molly
🏆 Reserve Champion Jr. Dairy Doe with Sassy
…and a few more that, at this point in the week, Mom honestly can’t remember. 😂

Asher brought home:
🏆 Grand Champion Jr. Dairy Doe with Chanel
🏆 Reserve Champion Sr. Dairy Doe with Kiwi
🥉 3rd Overall Dairy Doe with Sugar
🥉 3rd Overall Buck with Robinhood
🥈 2nd Place Senior Showmanship

Thursday, Asher had a ⛳️ golf match with the Rattlers. He didn’t have his best day on the course, but still had fun.

Then came Friday morning and the Premium Sale! We are incredibly thankful to Diamond Bank for being the highest bidder on both Asher and Arlee’s animals this year. We appreciate their continued investment in our local youth and agriculture! ❤️

And because apparently we don’t know how to go home and rest… 😂 as soon as the kids finished the sale, we hopped in the truck, loaded up our milkers and headed to Malvern for an ADGA Special Linear Appraisal session.

Molly, Sugar and Kiwi were all appraised. We learned SO much and came home with a much better understanding of where our herd is today and where we can continue improving. That’s one of my favorite parts of this whole thing, there is always something more to learn.

Now we are MORE than ready to bring everybody home, get caught up on some sleep, and enjoy a little break… because SE District Fair in Pine Bluff and the Arkansas State Fair are waiting for us in October! 🐐💚

Proud of these kids, proud of their animals, and thankful for another week full of memories. ❤️

While Asher was showing Arlee’s goats, she was at Ballet Arkansas for a week long 🩰 ballet intensive with her best bud. Several boxes of bandaids, rolls of toe tape, a bag of Epsom salt, and an emergency 🚨 fire evacuation from the studio, she is home!

Also, thanks to our cousin Ayden for helping prep goats, pack the trailer, and show all the goats! 🐐 We would not have made it without her help!

I didn’t get any pictures during the Lucky Clover Showdown Jackpot Show, but I’m thankful for our show family that picked up the slack. We can’t wait to see the images that Captured By LK took. I would say it was a successful show for Buckeye Heaven Farm!

Sometimes the best view is from behind…

Watching our girl lead her goats through the pasture reminds us that raising livestock is about so much more than ribbons or banners. It’s about building character, teaching responsibility, and creating memories that last a lifetime.

We’re thankful for this life. ❤️ Happy 4th of July! 🇺🇸
