Summer has a way of changing our routines… and I realized it had changed mine, too. 🤍
Back in January, I set a goal to spend more time in God’s Word.
At the beginning of the year, I wasn’t just reading my Bible. I was slowing down. I was meditating on Scripture, listening to commentaries, taking notes, and really sitting with what the Lord was teaching me.
Then summer came.
The routines changed. The days got busier. Before I knew it, I found myself reading just to stay on track with my Bible plan instead of slowing down long enough to truly listen.
Maybe you’ve been there too.
So this isn’t a guilt trip or a reminder to “catch up.”
It’s simply an invitation… for both of us.
Let’s slow down again.
Let’s spend a little less time worrying about checking the box and a little more time enjoying the One who gave us His Word.
If you’ve gotten behind on your Bible reading this year, please hear this…
God isn’t asking you to catch up. He’s simply inviting you to meet with Him today.
Read one chapter.
Read one Psalm.
Read one verse.
Start where you are.
His mercies are new every morning, and His invitation is still the same. 🤍
