Before Andy Ticer and Michael Hudman became two of Memphis' most celebrated culinary talents, they were just kids sharing family meals at the Macaroni Grill that once stood at Poplar and Kirby.

A few decades later, they’re now James Beard Award-nominated chefs preparing to open paired restaurants in nearly that exact spot — their first new local venture in about six years.

Couldn’t let this month end without celebrating our business. December will always be special to us, after 2½ years of carrying this vision, we took our very first catering order in December 2022, making us unofficially official and officially open for business.

This month, we celebrate 3 years of the wild journey that is entrepreneurship, learning, growing, and serving delicious Memphis-style barbecue that’s touched the hearts (and bellies🫄) of Nashville.

This past year held its share of challenges, from health scares to unexpected delays. But it was also filled with incredible wins: raising over $15K, hosting a dozen pop-ups, and partnering with organizations like TPAC, NMAAM, HarperCollins Publishing, and Titans One Community.

We’re incredibly proud to be three years in the barbecue game — and even more excited for what’s still to come.
