Liquid nitrogen ice cream works by using liquid nitrogen to freeze the mixture instantly. Here's a simplified breakdown:
1. Mixing: The ice cream base, typically made from cream, sugar, and flavorings, is mixed together.
2. Liquid Nitrogen Addition: Liquid nitrogen is poured into the mixture. The extremely low temperature
(-320°F/-196°C) causes the mixture to freeze rapidly.
3. Instant Freezing: The water molecules in the mixture freeze into tiny ice crystals, creating a smooth texture. This rapid freezing process prevents the formation of large ice crystals, resulting in a creamy consistency.
4. Churning: As the mixture freezes, it's churned or stirred to incorporate air and break up any ice crystals, creating a light and smooth texture.
Once you choose your flavor and decide waffle cone, sugar cone or cup...you can add one or more toppings. We have 12-15 toppings to choose from.
We try to use local organic ingredients when available. We use real strawberries to make strawberry, we add real bananas with Nilla waffers for our banana pudding, we use Oreo Cookies in our cookies and cream, we use cocoa for our chocolate and use vanilla beans for our vanilla.
