A good summer meal doesn't need much. Just a hot grill, a bottle worth opening, and a table full of people you enjoy lingering with.

This Smoked Grilled Tri-Tip with Cilantro Lime Cream recipe is built for exactly that kind of gathering.

At the center is one of our favorite cuts: North 36 Farms grass-fed, grain-finished tri-tip, smoked and grilled until beautifully tender. Alongside it, Arrington Vineyards' bright and expressive Kinzley Sauvignon Blanc brings just the right balance to a warm Tennessee evening.

The result is equal parts simple and memorable, for a meal that feels special without feeling complicated.

Perfect for an al fresco dinner. Easy enough for a weeknight. Good enough for company.

Save this recipe for your next gathering, then stock up on the ingredients that make it shine.

Here's to summer meals that stretch a little longer than planned.

Some summer dinners don't need much planning. 🌮

Just a hot grill, a few good people, and something worth gathering around.

Our new Carne Asada Kit was created for exactly those kinds of evenings.

At the center is North 36 Farms Black Angus fajita steak. It's tender, richly flavored, and made for a quick sear over open flame. We've paired it with fresh tortillas, locally made Johnson Family Salsa, and a tin of our Acme Salt Co. x North 36 Farms Superior Salt Mix.

We even included butcher paper and serving plates, because sometimes the best meals are the ones that stay simple.

Spread it all out on the table, pour something cold, and let everyone build their own perfect taco.

Summer dinner, solved.

When it comes to brisket, every pitmaster has opinions. Should you cook differently if it's grass-fed? Prime? Wagyu? What actually matters once the fire is hot?

Texas pitmaster Cooper Abercrombie of Bar-A-BBQ sat down with Derek Degenhardt at North_texas_smoke to ponder these questions, and a whole lot more, while prepping a North 36 Farms Black Angus brisket.

You can find their conversation — and all the education a brisket-lover could want — on Cooper's YouTube.

Cooper also has a special North 36 Farms promo code (good for free ground beef and a free New York strip!) so head to YouTube, follow Cooper's channel () and look for the episode "I Tried Every Texas Top 50 Joint | North Texas Smoke." It's a good one.

(You can also check the comments here for a quick link to the full episode.)

Thanks, Cooper and Derek. Proud to watch you make BBQ magic with North 36 beef.

This is called sparring. On a cattle farm, it's as familiar as sunrise. But what looks like a fight is usually something else entirely.

Young bulls spar by locking heads and testing one another. It's how they establish confidence, determine rank, and learn their place within the group. Rarely is it about aggression. More often, it's about communication.

At North 36 Farms, we believe part of raising exceptional cattle is giving them the space to behave like cattle.

Our Heritage Black Angus bulls are carefully selected, thoughtfully raised, and allowed to develop the way nature intended: out on pasture, where they grow stronger with every season.

This spring, several of these young bulls have headed to bull sales across the Southeast, and we're proud to see them representing the genetics, stewardship, and hard work behind our program.

If you're curious about our bull program, we'd be glad to talk cattle. Just reach out:

There are a lot of ways to cook a tri-tip.

Joe Stanfield from Fork & Embers would tell you the authentic Santa Maria way starts with three things: red oak, live fire, and great beef.

On his YouTube channel, Joe walks through the history of this California classic, shares his approach to cooking it over an open flame, and puts North 36 Farms Black Angus tri-tip at the center of the story.

It's equal parts lesson, recipe, and fireside conversation — the kind of content that reminds us why cooking outdoors has always been about more than the food.

If you love live-fire cooking, this one's worth your time.

Head to YouTube, follow -And-Embers, and watch the episode titled: *You've Been Cooking Tri-Tip Wrong This Whole Time.*

As a bonus, Joe is also sharing a special 15% discount code to help you bring the best of North 36 Farms home to your grill.

We're grateful for the support, Joe, and honored to be part of the cook.

The Father's Day Reserve Bundle is for the dad who taught you how to build the fire, carve the steak, and appreciate things done the right way.

Check the comments for a direct link.

Inside our curated Father's Day gift box, you'll find some of our farm's finest Black Angus beef: two generously cut dry-aged ribeyes and two dry-aged filets, raised with care in the rolling hills of Middle Tennessee.

We've paired those with a few worthy companions: our signature Acme Salt Co. x North 36 Farms STK Blend, bourbon barrel smoking chunks crafted from Pappy Van Winkle barrels, and two Pappy&Co. Old Fashioned mixers.

It's about honoring the men who taught us that some things are worth doing well, worth passing down, and worth gathering around.

Right on time, the grass comes back. 🌾

Every winter, our pastures go quiet. The hills turn brown, growth slows, and the land rests, just as it has for generations.

We don't rush it. We trust the season. We let winter do its work.

And then... spring arrives in Middle Tennessee.

Almost overnight, the fields turn green again. The pastures wake up. The landscape stretches and reaches toward the sun.

The cows know before anyone else.

They lift their heads, kick up their heels, and head for fresh grass with the kind of enthusiasm that reminds us nature always knows what it's doing.

This is one of the reasons we farm the way we do.

You can't manufacture the beauty of a healthy pasture. You can't replicate the rhythm of the seasons. You can't shortcut stewardship.

You can only tend it. Trust it. Show up for it.

The result is exceptional beef, raised intentionally, respectfully, and in step with the land that sustains it.

So we'll keep following nature's lead. And we'll keep bringing the best beef we've ever tasted to your table.

Real food was never meant to be complicated.

In many ways, that’s why this farm exists.

We wanted beef raised the right way: on open pastures, with care and intention, by people who believe every step matters.

It’s a way of doing things that feels both old and enduring, and like the kind of approach our great-grandmothers would recognize.

We have a feeling yours would, too.

And when it comes to how we think about beef, we find ourselves aligned with author and food and agriculture expert Michael Pollan:

“When obtained from small farms where animals are treated well, fed an appropriate diet, and allowed to express their natural behavior, the benefits of eating such meat outweigh the cost.”
