St. Mary’s Parish Ministries is helping make Christmas a little brighter for children in our community through its Christmas Toy Assistance Program!

Applications will be accepted each Monday in October for children from birth through 12 years old.

Natchez Hot Air Balloon Festival weekend is here, and the forecast is perfect for firing up the grill. If you're hosting guests this weekend, Hicks-Chiks has everything you need to feed a crowd in one stop.

Start with the burgers. Our TnT burger patties come in 20 lb cases in 4oz, 5.3oz, 6oz, and 8oz sizes, so you can choose the patty that fits your crowd. Customers tell us these are the best burgers around.

Want to go beyond burgers? Pick up St. Louis ribs, spare ribs, pork butts for slow smoking, or a whole Fresh Select brisket. Party wings and leg quarters come fresh in 40 lb cases, and our link and rope sausage is made for the grill.

Round out the spread with sides your guests will talk about. Our baked potato casserole and macaroni and cheese come in 2 lb and 4.75 lb sizes, ready to heat and serve. Finish strong with peach cobbler or a brownie rockslide.

We also carry charcoal, oil, plates, cups, and paper goods, so you can check everything off your list at once. Our team will load your vehicle so you can get in, get out, and get back to your guests.

We're open through Friday at 3:00 PM and closed Saturday and Sunday, so stop by before the weekend or give us a call to have your order ready.

From the fryer to the grill, Hicks-Chiks has the fish selection to cover every meal on your table.

Catfish is the heart of our fish selection. We carry whole catfish, filets, split filets, and miscuts in 15 lb and 4 lb boxes, so you can buy for a family supper or a full church fish fry. If you want fresh catfish that has never been frozen, we can special order it for you in a 30 lb box. Just give us a call ahead of time.

Our redfish fillets come in a 10 lb box and are ready for blackening, grilling, or baking. Basa fillets come in a 15 lb box and offer a mild, flaky white fish that fries up beautifully and feeds a crowd.

For the grill or the skillet, we have 8oz salmon fillets and 8oz tuna fillets. Buy them individually for dinner tonight or by the case of 20. Every fillet in the case is individually wrapped, so you can pull out exactly what you need and keep the rest frozen.

While you are here, pick up your cooking oil, paper goods, and sides, and our team will load your vehicle for you. Restaurants and caterers, call us to add fish to your next order as well.

Happy Monday, Miss-Lou! October starts this Thursday, and that means cooler mornings, football weekends, fall festivals, and plenty of reasons to fire up the smoker. This week's protein focus is pork, one of the best fits for fall cooking.

Our pork butts average 10 lbs and come in a 2 pack, ideal for low and slow smoking and pulled pork that can feed a tailgate crowd or a church supper. For rib lovers, we carry spare ribs in a 2 pack and St. Louis ribs averaging 2.5 lbs per slab, 12 slabs to a case.

Cooking something smaller? Boneless pork loins average 7 lbs and can be roasted whole or sliced into thick chops. Pork tenderloins average 1.5 lbs and come two to a pack. For something special, try our bacon-wrapped stuffed pork tenderloins, available with jalapeno or with shrimp and andouille.

Gumbo and red beans season is here too, and our sausage comes in link, rope, and patty form, alongside thick or thin cut bacon for the breakfast table.

Stop by this week to stock up. Our team will help you pick the right cuts and load your vehicle before you head home.
