🎂🖤 Friendly Bakery PSA from your slightly overwhelmed cake lady 🖤🎂

Y’all, if you’re thinking about ordering a cake, please, please, PLEASE reach out as far in advance as you can.

June started filling up back in May, and every week I find myself having to tell people no because they need a cake in two days and my calendar is already hanging on by a thread. 🥴

I absolutely LOVE every order that comes my way, and turning people down is one of my least favorite parts of owning a bakery. If there’s any possible way to fit you in, I will do my very best to make it happen.

But I also have to protect the integrity of the self-serve bakery, keep the shelves stocked on weekends, manage custom orders, and somehow raise four tiny humans who seem determined to keep life interesting. 😂

Behind every cake is a lot more than flour and butter. It’s scheduling, planning, shopping, baking, decorating, parenting, cleaning, and occasionally wondering what day it is.

I am so incredibly grateful for every order, every share, every recommendation, every review, and every person who has supported this bakery since day one.

This little dream has grown far beyond anything I imagined, and it’s because of YOU. 🖤

Just grabbed some dinner at Dewey Destin’s in Navarre and I have to admit… for my first time, it was pretty good. 😋🖤

I have temporarily marked the bakery as closed on Google. Unfortunately, Google wouldn’t let me close for just today and tomorrow, and I didn’t want anyone making a trip out only to find the bakery closed.

I also wanted to avoid the dreaded:
“Well Google said you were open…” messages and unhappy reviews. 😅

The bakery is only closed today and tomorrow.

Good evening, lovies. 🖤🌙

This week has looked a little different than usual between sick babies, graduation orders, and trying to prepare for next weekend’s bakery chaos. Life has definitely kept me on my toes.

I wanted to say thank you for the messages, prayers, patience, and support you’ve shown this week. Small businesses don’t survive because of buildings or recipes they survive because of people like you.

Tonight I’m choosing rest, extra baby snuggles, and giving myself permission to slow down for a minute.
