🚨 SAVE THE DATE

Saturday, September 12th we are excited to announce a Meet & Greet with the horses- Caly, Tiki & Rio! As many of you have seen, we gained new residents last winter here at Cattle Creek

We will be having an open house from 10am-2pm. During that time, please feel free to walk up to the horse barn to meet the horses and see the barn! At 11am, Chelsea will be doing a demonstration, showing off Tiki and his jumping skills!

While out scouting fields, you never know what you’ll run into! Our soybeans are so tall they almost hid the deer while we were driving around. It is always impressive to watch the deer jump over the plants!

For those who saw our previous post, here is a pictures of the culprits in action destroying our field. While deer eat the tops of the plants, geese pull the plants right out of the field, more so when they are young. Thank you for all of your guesses, some of you were spot on!

We’ve heard of knee high corn by the fourth of July, and the corn and soybeans this year really are liking the heat and humidity! By looking at these pictures, what do you think happened to these two fields? One field was a healthy corn crop, the other soybeans. Where did the plants go? I’ll give you a hint- these fields are located on Georgetown Rd. going towards the racetrack!

FRIDAY FEATURE: Kielbasa

Looking for an easy crock pot meal for your 4th of July celebration? Check out this super simple, 3 ingredient kielbasa recipe!

Kielbasa in Crock Pot
- 2 or 3 rings kielbasa
- One 12 oz can ginger ale
- About 12 oz of pure maple syrup

Directions:
1. Slice kielbasa in bit size slices
2. Place sliced kielbasa, ginger ale, and maple syrup in crockpot
3. Cook on low for a few hours. Longer it cooks, better it is
