Farm Update for This Year 2026
Things have gotten a bit difficult this past winter, but this year we're going to take a break from pushing farmers' market sales, etc.
I had some medical issues that will take a while to recover from, but we will focus on getting things done on the property that we don't usually have time for, while growing to supply farmers' market sales.
Things like dead tree clearing, fencing additions and repair, and finally getting our chicken coup and area setup so we can start that side of the farm, as well as many, many other things we just haven't had the time for in the normal course of a year.
IF you happen to be located near us, have some free time, and want to come hang out, give a hand, or visit, please feel free to contact me and let me know.
We will still be producing lettuce, cucumbers, and a few other things, but on a much smaller scale. I'll post on our page when produce is available, so you can let me know if you'd like some, and we'll figure out how to get it to you.
I will still be supplying Heirloom Bistro in Winona with Yummy freshness, so we'll try to get produce that my Winona people would like on those days I'm delivering to them. We'll figure it out.

Harvesting the last of this seasons lettuce mix. I’ll be in winona on Thursday but you need to let me know quick if you want some and how much so I know how much to bring.
Side note: this lettuce will last 2-3 weeks in your fridge.

Yes, I'm very behind this year; nothing will be planted in the field until we get the new fencing up next week. These three deer seem to be waiting and wondering why they can't completely destroy my spring growing this year. This image was captured just a few minutes ago at 9:35pm on 5/14. (That's an I.R. Spot light being used)

I apologize for another week of not being able to get to Farmer's Markets etc. Fingers crossed this finally gets all the van issues resolved by this weekend. It's been a rough and trying experience, but I'm not giving up the battle!

STILL trying to get this van running down the road again. I fix one thing, 3 more things show up on the scanner, got down too 2 codes, replace a part to solve it, and 7 more things show up bad. I think I'm doing pretty good about staying calm, but the profanity is building. LOL
Not sure if I'll have it back on the road in time to make any further farmers markets, which sucks because although I'm saving a ton of money fixing and replacing things myself, parts still cost money, money I'm NOT making by not being able to attend the Markets.

Thanks, Everyone for the Birthday Wishes the other day. I greatly appreciated and needed that. Been a rough couple of weeks.
I still think about all the people I've known over the years who are no longer with us. Personal Friends, Family Members, and Military comrades who were about my age. It's very sad, but it makes me thankful I'm still here for my Family and Friends.
