This isn't my honey, that's truly what it takes to make a decent profit keeping bees. It gets harder every year to keep bees alive much less keeping them healthy enough to make a honey crop. Local honey is special, and producing it is a labor of love.

Due to severe hive losses, poor honey crop due to weather and another increase in supplies. The price of my honey will be $14/ lb. $8/half lb and $26/2lb bottle.

Not the best year for the bees, with losses and poor nectar flow my spring/summer honey crop isn't looking to productive. Hopefully the fall will be better.
