To our out-of-town visitors, make a Saturday evening of it! Start with a barrel pick tasting at the Black Diamond Distillery, then head just 20 minutes down the road for a concert in historic Shawnee.

Grab dinner at the Distillery or stop by the Black Diamond Tavern in Shawnee along the way. Bourbon, dinner, and live music—sounds like a pretty great Saturday to us!

Record sales day yesterday for the Kitchen and our Brewery/Distillery. Our staff was overwhelmed but as always they stepped up! Will be another great day with the trains running!

GOING TO BRAG WITHOUT REMORSE!

When we partnered with the Hocking Valley Scenic Railway to refurbish these historic train cars for aging bourbon, we knew the heat would accelerate maturation. What we didn’t expect was our maturation expert signing off on barrels at just 20 months!

Then came last week’s tasting in Dublin with Bardstown Bourbon Company. Adam sent Cam up with a barrel sample he had tapped that very afternoon. Of the seven selections tasted, our railcar bourbon was the crowd’s No. 1 choice!

Now here’s the cool part: YOU get to help choose our inaugural barrel.

Join us October 17 at the train car to sample five barrels and vote for your favorite. Together, we’ll select our first special release—and everyone attending will have the opportunity to purchase a bottle from that inaugural barrel.

This won't be an Old Forester Birthday Release but dang our little Distillery in SE is getting some real national attention and this release will be pretty special.

HUGE WEEKEND IN NELSONVILLE!

The Bigfoot Festival is here, trains are running all weekend, and there’s plenty to enjoy around town!

With the new DORA, you can grab a drink at Black Diamond and stroll over to our friends at the Mine Tavern!

Come hungry, bring your friends, and make a day of it in historic Nelsonville. Bigfoot sightings optional.

We’re excited to announce that another Black Diamond Kitchen is coming to Obetz!

This location will be a new build—a change from the century-old historic buildings we typically call home—but it will carry the same commitment to community that has guided Black Diamond from the beginning.

We look forward to celebrating Obetz’s history, creating local jobs, and building a welcoming place where friends and neighbors can gather over great food and drinks.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to become part of the Obetz community.
