Thinking on days like today I’m reminded about the reality that our lives can be changed in an instant. All those people who went to work “as usual” that day…people in the Towers, the First Responders, the people on the plane and in the Pentagon. and their family members who were also going about their daily lives “as usual.” They were totally unaware that their lives would change that day.
I was also following my “normal” routine of watching a morning show while getting ready for school. When I turned the TV on, the first thing I saw was the North Tower burning. I was in disbelief that this could happen in America. 💔
It is a good thing in life to be reminded to be thankful for the small things that we often don’t think about. I will take a moment today to be thankful when all my family members come home from work or their daily activities safely. 🙏🏻🙏🏻 I’m also grateful that my husband, who was a Police Officer for 24 years, and was in many dangerous situations, came home safely all those nights and we are blessed to be able to grow old together. 💞
