Thanks to everyone that helped us make our first season a success!! I was so afraid of being stuck with hay and I am pleased to announce that we have no hay available until next year! We have 3 horses that we need to get through winter as well! We look forward to making next year better then this year and continuing to provide your equines with the hay that they deserve!

Bittersweet moment here for us at Pratt Family Farm. First of all, we want to thank everyone who bought off of us this year and helped spread the word about our hay and the quality we are trying to deliver. We truly do pride ourselves on hard work and dedication to bringing quality hay at an affordable price to all of our customers. As horse owners ourselves, we fully understand the costs that go into keeping our equines happy and healthy! While we want to keep the costs down for you, we also need to ensure that we are covering our own costs. No business can sustain by being in the negative. There are a few factors that play into our debt to income ratio, one being that we are only farming 22-ish acres at this time. Another factor is the lack of production off of our second cutting out of our established fields. All of our fields will be soil tested this fall with hopes to fix that issue next year. There is a lot that goes into this business: equipment costs, fertilizer, spray to control foxtail, etc. We are thankful to have family to help us with the uncountable man hours it takes as well. With all that being said, we have no choice but to increase the costs of our very full, hefty bails for next year. Again, we strive to be fair and will continue to do so. We just can’t go in the hole ourselves to do so! We hope that everyone understands and we look forward to continue to provide you quality hay when next summer rolls around! Thank you!!!
