The crew in Iowa were busy last week and over the weekend prepping, pouring, finishing, and cutting the last of the concrete at Gigi's Granny Pad. Thank you to Andrew Sherman, Lindsey Jo Sherman, Ryder Sherman, Matthew Peckham (and crew), Jake Hedges and the Hedges kiddos for all of your help.

This is going to help so much to cut down on the mud and dirt we all drag in!

Now we just have some closet doors and a plumbing issue to finish up and we're DONE!

Gigi's Granny Pad shop update: Andy is 85% of the way done with adding OSB to the walls and ceiling. The crew got the overhead radiant heat set up in the shop, too! No more winterizing the Moto Camper!

The in-floor heat is getting hooked up! I'm sure looking forward to warm, toasty floors when I'm back for the holidays!

A few new additions for the Granny Pad... A new framed sign for the big blank space above the sliding glass doors. A couple new 12x12 colorful canvases (with cows of course!) for the living room somewhere, and a wall-mount storage cabinet for above the commode in the primary bathroom. I'm excited to be back in Iowa during the holidays to see friends and family and finish up a few more projects!

Granny pad update, part 2 - We poured just a little of the exterior concrete:

1) Front door pad - Much more welcoming (and safe) than my wooden pallet with an old carpet over it!

2) Propane tank pad - We're repairing and moving the tank next week. Note the obligatory names and hand prints! The little circle on the right is a crutch print from our live-in buddy, Andy B.

3) And a concrete start gate pad for Ryder's cornering track that Andrew Sherman made with the leftover mud.

Much, much more exterior concrete to come!

Granny Pad Update: Lots of little stuff still left to do.

The upstairs bathroom is probably the only room in the s'house that is completely finished!

The toilet paper cloud from the Colorado house got a coat or two of black paint and is hung in the upstairs bathroom. There will be no TP shortage here! :)

I reused the three barn wood shadow box shelves from Colorado, too.
