There’s a plethora of newborn calves around here lately doubling the time it takes to do calf chores. In particular, 7 new calves in the past 2 days alone. And 7 heifers in the barn awaiting their first calves before the month is over. Happy National Farmers Day to the men and women who wake up 7 days a week, 365 days a year to manage their herds and work in their fields from before sunrise until the sun goes down. Happy National Famers Day to the men and women working full time off the farm and still squeezing in working hours on the farm. Happy National Farmers to all the youth generation who are inspired by these same farmers and continuing the lifestyle for years to come.

Today was a big finalization in change of plans. It was going to be a ground-breaking spring to finally build a home in this field and had envisioned big windows to watch the sunset on these fields, but before we got too far along in the process, God steered us in a different direction. So excited to have closed on a house and property today just a mile from the farm in which we can grow our family and farm on. Now we can continue to watch the corn grow here.
