View to the East from the driveway toward the hayfield. Love the oak trees at the neighbor’s to the Northeast. Love the landscape here, sunrises and sunsets. Lots of wind and it can be harsh, but with their blankets on, the horses will brave the weather.

Ellie comes down to the gate to greet me. I think she’s saying thank you, she’s much happier now with her blanket on.

This was last Wednesday when the temperatures were really dropping.

Ellie comes running up to me. I think she is saying she wants a blanket. Everyone else has a blanket on. She is a curly horse and is supposed to be able to keep warm without a blanket, but she looks naked! No winter fluff! Just a short summer haircoat? Her dam is a quarter horse, so maybe that’s the problem. Showing off her sprint speed!

Ellie gets Fred & Ben running. Ellie comes running up to me, I didn’t get my camera out right away. Everyone else has their blankets on. I suspect she may be cold. Running to try to warm up! This was right before it got really cold last week.
