The oldest operating winery in Nevada County, located in historic downtown Nevada City, California. In 1980 there was just one small vineyard.

Founded in 1980 in a small garage on the outskirts of town, in 1982 the Winery moved to its present location, the historic Miners Foundry Garage, on Spring Street in downtown Nevada City. The Winery is located less than two blocks from where the original Nevada City Winery stood over a century ago. In 1880 there were over 300 acres of grapes in Nevada County. Today the wine industry is flourishing in the county. We are proud of our role in revitalizing the wine industry in Nevada County. Our production is done at the winery on Spring Street. We don't have vineyards of our own, but that gives our winemaker the ability to pull from various vineyards and the opportunity to create wines from the best varietals. Production is downstairs and the Tasting Room is upstairs.

A local favorite, David Castaneda is a Latin Guitarist who plays a variety of romantic instrumental songs from Spain, Mexico, Cuba, Argentina, Brazil, and the U.S. Over the last 3 decades, he has composed many original instrumental songs that encompass the beautiful sounds of these countries.

Come discover the unique body of experimental photographic art from artist Ellen Davis. Utilizing the cyanotype process - one of the earliest photographic processes and produces blue-toned prints - she presents work made with a technique that she developed. Her images of plants and ocean waves shine with jewel-toned colors and sparkle with gritty salt crust textures.
Showing in the Nevada City Winery Gallery daily through November 16th.
