We’re saddened to learn that our neighbors at Whaler’s Tavern are closing after 11 years. They’ve been a cherished part of downtown New Bedford, and their presence—and those Bloody Marys—will be greatly missed.

As a fellow small business, we understand how much heart and hard work goes into keeping the doors open. Challenges like construction disrupting access, rising ingredient costs, and the everyday expenses of running a business can add up, even for places a community loves.

To the Whaler’s Tavern team: thank you for 11 years of hospitality, memories, and good company. We wish you all the best in whatever comes next.
