Today the sun shines a little less bright, as a dear friends life was taken far to early last night! 🕊️
Tonight please come and raise a glass to a man who filled bellies, laughs, some eye rolls 😉 (he knows I would give him grief) and hugs all around.

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Shawn Hoveland, owner of Beartown Bistro & Pizza Company.
Shawn was so many things to so many people. He had an incredibly kind and generous heart, along with a goofy, silly side that could always make you laugh - or, every now and then, roll your eyes.
He was passionate about the things he loved, especially Beartown, the food he created, and the life he built. He loved to write, something anyone who followed his weekly special posts certainly knew. He of course loved to cook, and above all else, he loved being a father.
This is a tremendous loss for everyone who knew and loved Shawn. We ask that you please give our Beartown family the time and space to process, grieve, and navigate the days ahead together. We will be taking things one day at a time, and Beartown will continue to stay open because it’s truly what Shawn would have wanted.
Please keep Shawn’s family, friends, the Beartown team and the community that loved him in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.
Shawn will be deeply missed. 🤍
