TRAILSIDE TAKEOUT

Ok so I neglected to make my Facebook post yesterday morning. I’m sorry! Can you ever forgive me? I was busy, or distracted, or stressed out, or forgot, I don’t know the difference anymore.

FRIED CHICKEN MAYHEM

Are you ready?!?!?!

Tomorrow evening from 4p-8p prepare your taste buds to receive some of our locally famous chicken tenders! Served to you in three different magnificent forms; a salad, a sandwich, and a stand alone meal.

Buffalo Chicken Salad $15
Our epic and yet somehow simple salad base, organic greens with tomatoes, cucumbers, and onions; will be topped with French fries a tender tossed in Buffalo, and cheddar cheese. I will make sure that our locally sourced (Thanks to our lovely friends up at Bostonia dairy) buttermilk ranch dressing is available as an option but I did just make some of our long lost blue cheese dressing. It shall make an epic comeback for tomorrow’s salad! I forgot to prep breadsticks. I’m gonna take a play out of Momma B’s book and get some Italian bread from riverside, cover it in garlic butter and cheese for yinz, then add that to the salad. Mmmm nostalgia!

Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich $15
This is a fun one. I’ve had one of my favorite people in the world ask me to make this so how could I possibly refuse?
A hand floured tender tossed in hot honey with bacon and cheese then topped with farmers market, fresh sliced, house-made bread and butter pickles. Also served with fries!

Box-o-Tenders-n-Fries $10
Two of your favorite tenders served with a big ole handful of our fries! Sauces to choose from include buffalo, honey bbq, honey mustard, and ranch.

Trailside Takeout! Oh my lanta it’s on Thursday night. Creepin’ up on me. I don’t know 100% of the details yet but I know we’re going to be frying a lot of chicken tenders.

Planning a chicken tender sandwich and a chicken tender salad. Definitely a box of tenders and fries. Perhaps a buffalo chicken salad. Maybe I’ll even make us some blue cheese dressing.

Tis the week of another Trailside Takeout! Taco Thursday is upon us!

The window will be open from 4p-8p and we’re serving up a Mexican themed menu. Check it out…

Quesadilla with your choice of either taco beef or pulled chicken and peppers and onions. Served with a side of rice and beans, sour cream and my house made Guajillo pepper sauce(not spicy). $15

Taco salad with your choice of either taco beef or pulled chicken. You’ll get some freshly fried tortillas lots of veggies and a special taco salad dressing. I’m thinking something like a combo of ranch, avocado, and some toasted Mexican spices. Maybe we’ll call it taco ranch. $15

Loaded nachos. Choose either taco beef or pulled chicken. Get a box full of our amazing fresh fried chips topped with as many veggies, toppings and sauces we can stuff into it. $15

Going shopping this morning to load up for another busy week. Hooray!

I’m excited to serve up some taco stuff. It’ll be fun and tasty! I hope you decide to give it a try.

Another weekend of happy guests behind us. The grazing table was a hit! It’s all the rage these days. Let us know if we can make one for you!

We have another Trailside take out night coming up soon. July 23rd. We’re planning to have a taco night. So far I’m thinking about quesadillas and taco salads. Maybe we’ll do some loaded nachos? What do you all think??

Trailside Takeout

Here we go again! Thursday night it is! Starting at 4pm at the Trailside windows you can have your very own Peanut butter and jelly burger. Yep. It’s true.

Those of you who love this burger have asked me about it for years. I’m doing this for all of you! Because I care. For those of you who do not know the magic of the peanut butter and jelly burger, let me explain. Peanut butter on a burger mixed with goat cheese and bacon was some kind of food chemistry we stumbled upon. We added a house made jalapeño jelly and it all clicked. A recipe sent from the heavens, a new gift from God himself for his beloved followers. More proof he really loves us. Don’t miss out everyone. This is a special burger!

The classic burgers will also be available. Can’t go wrong with a classic. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it they say. I’ve tried that before, they’re right. A perfect harmony of lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles, with cheddar cheese. Mmmm good!

And don’t forget our fantabulous chicken tenders. Hand floured and fried to order. I’ll make sure we have ranch, buffalo, and honey bbq. Last month I made everyone some honey mustard. I could do that again or make a different sauce you’re all craving. Let me know!

Good morning everyone! Just wanted to remind you all that we have another Trailside takeout night happing soon. Next week on Thursday, the 25th. I think we’re bringing back the famous peanut butter and jelly burger. Get ready folks! This week is probably our busiest week of the season, wish us luck!

Tonight is the night. I just watered the flowers. They’re looking pretty good since we got them in before Mother’s Day. These dwarf sunflowers are poppin’ today!

I’m about to hit the kitchen and start with the prep work this morning. Lots to do and oh so little time to get it done.

The time has come again. Here we are, another summer ahead of us, a flat of flowers to be planted, and a rail of tickets to be cooked. Here we go again!

Good morning and happy Mother’s Day! Today is the big day. Ready or not here it comes, but we’re ready! We’ve spent all week preparing for this one big super special event.

Turns out, if you didn’t make a reservation we might be able to take some walk-ins today. If your group is around 4 or smaller, chances are higher.

We’re gonna get some food going this morning! Can’t wait t see you all today and thanks for coming!
