Backyard Ruckus Homestead

Backyard Ruckus Homestead A little wild, a lot of love. Homestead life with my 2 boys focused on natural foods and simple living.

We have ducks, chickens, and bunnies, selling fresh, free range eggs and homemade breads.

We have some mischievous little bunnies! 🐰 During morning checks I noticed Abagail gone, nowhere to be seen. Upon checking Fox cage I seen him and checked his house and guess who was in there… ABAGAIL! When I went to check on her Fox hopped in there to say hey where you taking her? Lol Needless to say the adore each other already. 💙🐰We are not sure how she managed to get into his cage, there’s only 1 spot we think she may have squeezed through.

We will be making some tweaking today to prevent this! Lol Of course we don’t mind them cuddling, but once they get of age to breed this won’t be safe.

Just when you think you have nothing to do and can relax your animals prove you wrong. 🤣

The bunnies are settling into their homes great so far! It took them about 2 days to feel comfortable coming out of their little houses and they’re eating their food and figuring out their water bottles. We still got a few minor tweaks to do to their house and then it’s fully finished.

Side note, our girl bunny Abagail is adjusting to her new food. We’re hoping her belly gets better and she gets back to normal soon.

This is why we have the word Ruckus in our title. Boys will be boys. Doing farm stuff tonight he said he wanted to help, not exactly sure what this is doing but it makes him happy and there is no greater gift in the world than a child’s laugh! 🤣💙
