Farm updates: I’m making my final list for paste tomatoes yall!

Who still is looking for some?

I plan to have some this weekend and prob wrapping up the following week!

The plants have all been tremendous producers this year, but as the cool evenings creep in, production slows down.

Bulk slicers are no longer available but we may have a flash sale if we have them at the end! So keep your eyes out if that’s the case.

We will still have smaller amounts of slicers and paste tomatoes available both direct and through Healthy Roots Local Market but quantities are definitely getting lighter.

With that said peppers are also wrapping up.

However, winter squash is available now, onions, melons, eggplant, okra, some summer squash are all still on the docket.

We will be harvesting potatoes and a few other fall crops as the weeks progress!

I don’t even have school age kids and you bet this sweet item came home with me after the girls took their photos! So cute! Got to love the good old bartering system with colleges 💞

I’ve got the following available today:

2 left🍈5 medium(2-3lb) green melons for $4
1 left 🍈2 large(3+) green melons for $6

Sold🍊1 medium(~2.5lb) orange melon for $4.5
Sold 🍊1 large (almost 4lbs) orange for $6

Ideally one color per customer so we can share the love.

Our last farm was just down the road from us in a Willis, Mi, ! They are not just organic certified but regenerative organic, taking care of the people & land. Very cool.

This h**p farm educated us on relying on the land for all your compost, the true test h**p is under and the amazing products that they are starting and striving for. We look forward to what they have to offer in the future.

It was a wonderful site to end our tours and beautiful day of connections with earth and humans.

Ps, I rarely take a bathroom selfie, but when I do, it’s got some added pizzaz!

How cool to check out an organic seed company here local to us in Michigan. has the long game farming life and it was great to see. We were able to get two varieties of their in house development tomatoes, for next years season, but looking to add more organically developed Michigan crops of OUR growing climate!

Really happy to connect today with so many like minded farmers, neighbors and growers!

Farmer Justin and myself are lucky to be touring like minded organic farms in our area today! We have three places to check out with the Transition to Organic Program (TOP) and the first was amazing, at ! A once organic certified veggie/csa farm now in their flower farming season.

Yall, who is ready for soup season and all those all fall feels? Well this week we have Leeks and Butternut Squash hitting the market!

We also have pickling kits, white cucumbers, blushing green tomatoes for fermenting and so many other great veggies for pickling!

Shopping opened this am and goes til Tuesday night!
